This is combined with Qi Jong which is a practice of aligning breath, movement and awareness for exercise, healing and meditation.

Speakers Program

On Tuesday 3 March our speaker is Mary-Jane Rudd talking to us about the My Aged Care system. My Aged Care aims to make it easier for older people, their families, and carers to find information on ageing and aged care in Australia. Mary-Jane Rudd is Health Pathways Relationship Manager for Catholic Health Care. Her talk will include an explanation of My Aged Care, services that are available, how the National Waitlist works and the timeframes involved, the costs of the services and how everyone can go about accessing them.

This will be a very informative talk and will help to answer any questions you might have around My Aged Care.

Please join us on Tuesday 3 March at 2pm in the Waverton Uniting Church Hall (75 Bay Rd, Waverton). All invited. No entry fee. No need to book.

We would welcome additional “beginners “ who can enjoy the after class coffee and chat and the stretches beforehand. I am sure our group has added extra years of life from our Wednesday activity. Art Class

The Waverton Hub Art Class covers all media (pencil, charcoal, pastels, watercolour and acrylic painting and drawing) as well as providing an appreciation of the history and development of art. Our tutor, Monique Dery-Boyer, is an exhibited artist with a special interest in teaching adults.

Term Classes are 8 weeks in length and loosely follow those of the public school year.

Classes will commence in early February
