Local Walks

7.30 a.m. Meet at Waverton Station.Train to Wynyard, walk via Darling Harbour, Pyrmont Bridge, past Casino and on to Pirramar Park, Pyrmont to the Zebra cafe for coffee. Return via Mount Street, a short cliff walk and through a small park to Fish Markets Light Rail and return home. Options to alight at rail stops along the way and walk from there to Town Hall or Wynyard or to go all the way to Central. 1.5 - 2 hours; easy grade; Bev to lead.

Tai Chi / Qi Jong

Tai Chi is the gentle Chinese exercise which is a low-stress training for seniors. 

This is combined with Qi Jong which is a practice of aligning breath, movement and awareness for exercise, healing and meditation.

No charge, no booking. Continues throughout the year.

“What has the Camino got to do with East Timor?”

Luke Keighery, Hub member involved in international aid

For more than 10 years Luke has been involved in helping communities in East Timor. In 2017 as a member of Willoughby Friends of Ossu (East Timor), Luke faced his greatest challenge – to walk 800kms on the Camino to raise much-needed funds for a large water, sanitation & hygiene project in Ossu. Hear Luke’s stories from the Camino walk and view a short video of what has been achieved in Ossu.
